About The Cause

Healthcare heroes are working to protect the health of our community. We need to do our part to protect others too.

Critically ill babies are cared for in BC Women’s Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Many families need to remain in their private NICU rooms, sometimes for many months at a time. Now, due to COVID-19, this means they are restricted from leaving to get food, and from using the communal family lounges that typically offer a place of rest, a small kitchen, and a playroom for siblings.
To help support women and their newborns directly, the BC Women’s Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Fund: Women + Families is committing $150,000 to provide direct support to NICU families, including regular meal deliveries and other resources to get them through this challenging period. This fundraising support will provide immense relief to parents, allowing them to be fully present to support the care of their babies.

100% of net proceeds from face masks sold in this store and additional donations made at checkout will provide direct support to NICU families through our COVID-19 Fund: Women + Families.

Wearing a non-medical mask - even if you have no symptoms - is an additional measure you can take to protect others around you and stop the spread of COVID-19 by all means possible. When we come together as a community, having millions of people wear a mask will have an incredible impact on public health.
Save medical-grade masks for our frontline healthcare heroes at BC Women’s Hospital. Purchase a mask today and you will also be supporting women’s health where it is needed most.

The BC Women’s Health Foundation is committed to ensuring exemplary healthcare for women + newborns by providing solution-focused philanthropy that delivers tangible social impact.
